Quick opinion - maybe CoFL?

I did a quick wash after the fender bender last nigh. Do I spend the time to try and get the paint scrapes off now? Or leave it for the insurance adjuster to see? I’d rather not drive around with a scraped up looking car, but not sure the right choice in this case.

Wait for CoFL, but my advice would be to take a ton of pictures, maybe even a video, and then go ahead and clean it up.

Leave it. If you ask, they’ll often just give you a check for estimated  repair costs and you can do it yourself if you want and keep the money. Or spent just a portion of it to correct what you couldn't do yourself.

I wouldn't have even washed it.  Preserve things as is until your adjuster has seen it.

Thanks, will do.  Guess my vanity got the better of my judgment this time.

Leave it, get it assessed, then once you’ve had it looked at and got a figure for the repair, tidy it up if you wish.

Ideally I wouldn’t of even washed it before the assessment and only cleaned off an area in their presence if they thought the repair was less than you think.

Leave it. Don’t want to see you get screwed. Adjusters will do anything not to pay up.

Generally I would agree, but with USAA I've never had an issue.

Guess you’ve never had the experience. Didn’t say it was an end all be all / absolute  either...so not sure how it’s not really true.

I am the experience.

I'm an adjuster

Like I said didn’t say it was said all be all, but given what I went through with others during a hurricane (talking like 50-100 community or more) not getting our payout even though we paid into the funds is my experience. Wasn’t even the first hurricane I’ve dealt with or incident .

Kind of confirmation bias as one adjuster.
